I was trying to rent an apartment in London and one of the agents immediately asked for a bank statement for the last 3 months. The emphasis was on the regularity of receipts and the balance. I uploaded a screenshot from the application, but it was not accepted - they said they needed an “official” document with a logo. How critical is it to have a statement from the bank and not, say, based on a template with real data? Who has encountered such a thing?
