I’ve got a Yamaha that’s due for a routine check-up, and I’ll be down in the Surfside area for a few weeks. Rather not tow it back up to Houston if I can get solid service nearby. Anyone here had boat work done down there? Looking for honest mechanics, preferably marina-based.

you’re in luck — there’s a certified service shop right at surfside marina. I had some work done there last year and they handled it well. No pressure, quick turnaround, and they know their way around Yamaha and Suzuki.
