I was recently video chatting and accidentally ran into a girl who I talked to for a few hours. We discussed a bunch of topics, laughed, shared stories, and I felt like there was some kind of connection between us. Then we crossed paths a couple more times in the chat room, and I began to wonder - is it possible to fall in love with someone like that, through the screen? Maybe someone already had such an experience?

You can fall in love anywhere as long as there is an emotional connection. Video chats allow you to see a person, his emotions, hear his voice, so it is not so different from normal communication. Another thing is that virtual communication sometimes creates an illusion, so it's important not to delay a real meeting. But as a way of getting acquainted - why not?
I'm sure you can! I had a similar story - I met a girl in video chat, and at first, I thought it was normal communication. But then we started to meet often, looking for each other in the chat room, even agreeing to come in simultaneously. I realized I was starting to miss these conversations and catch myself waiting for a new meeting. Eventually, we exchanged contacts and started chatting outside the chat room. By the way, we met on video cam - there, unlike many other platforms, people are tuned into the conversation, not just mindlessly switching.
