I got into this whole thing during a really boring work trip. I was stuck in a hotel for almost two weeks in a city where I didn’t know anyone and couldn’t really go exploring because of the weather. My laptop barely had anything on it except emails and spreadsheets, and TV was in a language I don’t even speak. I started looking up ways to kill time and stumbled onto a few gaming platforms. Most were clunky or just didn’t feel exciting at all — too slow or the games looked like they hadn’t been updated in years. Then I found one that actually looked decent and gave it a shot. At first, it was just 10 minutes here and there, but I ended up spending my evenings there. It was the first time I felt like I was doing something entertaining instead of just waiting for the trip to end. Felt surprisingly close to sitting at a blackjack table back home.
