WhatsApp has introduced a new document scanning feature for iOS users, allowing you to scan and send documents directly within the app without needing third-party tools. Here's how to use it:
Open a Chat: Launch WhatsApp and navigate to the chat where you want to send the document.
Access the Attachment Options:
Tap the '+' icon located at the bottom-left corner of the screen.
Select 'Document' from the attachment options.
Scan the Document:
Choose 'Scan Document'.
The camera interface will open; position your document within the frame.
WhatsApp will automatically detect the document's edges and capture the scan.
For manual capture, tap the 'Auto' option at the top to switch to manual mode.
Edit the Scan (Optional):
After capturing, you can adjust the crop, apply filters, rotate, or retake the scan if needed.
Send the Document:
Once satisfied with the scan, tap 'Done'.
You can add a caption if desired.
Tap 'Send' to share the scanned document with your contact.
Key Points:
You can scan multiple pages (up to 24) into a single document.
The feature enhances the clarity of scanned documents, making text and signatures more legible.
Currently, this feature is available for iOS users with the latest version of WhatsApp.
For Android users, this feature is not yet available. In the meantime, you can use third-party document scanning apps to scan and share documents via WhatsApp.
