Hello, friends! I've been wanting to buy binoculars for stargazing for a long time, but I can't decide. I want something compact, but with good image quality. A telescope is not an option - I live in the city, I often go out into nature, but I don't want to carry bulky equipment.
I looked at different models, but they all have different characteristics. Some say that the diameter of the lenses is important, others - the coating of the optics. I also heard that special binoculars with good light transmission are needed.
Maybe someone already uses one? Which model would you recommend? Preferably something lightweight, but powerful, so that you can both look at the stars and watch nature during the day.
I would be grateful for advice!
If you want something purely for astronomy, you can look at models with higher magnification, but then they will be heavier. I would still choose a universal option to use both for stars and for nature.
If you are looking for something compact and powerful, I advise you to pay attention to the Opticron Traveller BGA ED. This is one of the best options among 32 mm binoculars. It has wide field of view (8.2° for 8x32 and 6.5° for 10x32), excellent light transmission and sharpness across the entire frame. It is very light and compact. These binoculars are good not only for stargazing, but also for daytime observations. So, if you are looking for universal device, this is great option. If you want to look at other models, look here: binoculars for astronomy. There is a large selection, you can choose one for your needs.
