Hi! Lately I've been thinking about how to simplify the shift planning process for our team. We've tried several systems, but nothing has worked perfectly yet. Shifton is currently on the agenda. Has anyone used this platform for automatic and manual shift planning? I'm especially interested in how it handles adapting the schedule depending on various factors, such as sick leave or urgent replacements. How do you rate this tool in general?

It's interesting what you say. We also started using Shifton in our company, and I notice that the main thing is to set up the system correctly from the start. When everything is specified correctly (employees' availability, preferences, vacation schedule, etc.), then automation really helps speed up the process.
Yes, we started using https://shifton.com/shift-scheduling about half a year ago, and I can share how it works in practice. At first, it seemed to me that all this automation was some kind of “miracle method” that would solve all the problems with schedules, but then I realized that even such a system is not ideal for all situations. In principle, the system itself really saves time, especially when it comes to medium and large teams, the schedule generator for employees automatically creates schedules based on the specified parameters: working hours, employee wishes for days of the week, time restrictions and even the specifics of the work (for example, someone can only work morning shifts, and someone only in the evening). At first, I was impressed by how quickly the system creates a basic schedule, taking into account all these nuances. However, as I used it, I began to notice that for some situations, automation does not always give an ideal result. For example, if a team has employees with special needs - someone needs a day off on a particular day, someone cannot work at certain hours, and the system can sometimes ignore these settings.
