Mickey Mouse, being very popular in the late 1920's - 1930's as an actor one day, got accused of doing problematic stuff behind the scenes. Even when he tried to prove it to him, Walt didn't care nor wanted to hear him convincing and fired him. Minnie, who was hearing their conversation, when into Walt's office and tried to convince him that Mickey didn't do it as she was right next to him, Walt didn't take what she said and replied to her saying that Mickey could've been hiding it as she got there. Little did they know that Mr. Slicker was the cause. Later at home, Mickey and Minnie were arguing, It escalates to Mickey screaming a bunch of EXTREMELY hurtful things to her. Minnie runs out of Mickey's house crying while the now hopeless Mickey stands there in guilt. During the rest of the day, Mickey couldn't stop thinking of what he said to Minnie, he tried to enjoy his day and forget about his guilt, but he kept seeing people being happy with their life and having great times with their loved ones, which made him feel even more guilty. He couldn't stand it anymore to the point where he tried committing suicide, no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't kill himself, he kept trying to do so until he stops late at night and started to take a walk around the town. As he was walking he spotted a portal in the sky. Then came Boyfriend and Girlfriend falling from the portal and landing in front of him. Boyfriend notices Mickey and almost immediately asks him to rap with him. Mickey shrugs while Boyfriend takes it as a yes, and the mod begins.
